A carport or canopy is an outdoor structure under wind and snow load. It must stand on a sound foundation — posts set in or anchored to concrete footings — and be assembled and fixed strictly per the instructions, rated for the local wind and snow loads, by a competent installer; posts and anchors that are undersized or not properly fixed can let a structure lift, shift or collapse. A freestanding or larger carport can need building or planning permission depending on its size, siting and your local rules — check before you build. Roofing is polycarbonate or coated metal; keep to the stated spans and fixings. Any mains lighting is wired by a qualified electrician. CE marked where applicable. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to consumers.
